How can I protect myself from COVID-19?

Social distancing: maintain a distance of at least one meter.

Avoid greetings that imply physical contact.

Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough.

Utilizar um lenço de papel ou o braço, nunca com as mãos e deitar o lenço de papel no lixo.

Lavar as mãos sempre que se assoar, espirrar ou tossir.

Reinforce hygiene measures.

Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based solution.

Avoid close contact with patients with respiratory infections.

Do I have to wear a mask to protect myself?

What kind of mask should I wear?

It is considered at this stage of the epidemic that the wearing of masks should be done by all people who stay indoors with several people (supermarkets, pharmacies, shops or business premises, public transport, etc.)

This is an additional protection measure for social distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory label.

The general population may wear non-surgical masks (community or social masks) so that surgical masks continue to be available to health professionals, who are the priority groups for wearing surgical masks.
